• What is in-home care?

    TLC’s in-home care makes it possible for people to remain in familiar surroundings with maximum freedom despite advancing age, health conditions, or disabilities.  TLC will prepare meals, assist with personal care such as bathing and toileting, drive clients to appointments, help with housework and laundry, provide companionship, and give families a respite from caregiving responsibility.

  • What is the difference between caregiving services and medical in-home care?

    TLC Caregivers provides non-medical services and works closely with Home Health, Hospice, and adult care facilities to assist with activities of daily living:

    • Bathing
    • Dressing
    • Eating
    • Transferring
    • Continence
    • Toileting
  • What is the process of matching a caregiver to a client?

    TLC coordinators carefully match the needs, schedules and expectations of our clients and their families with the strengths and characteristics of our experienced, reliable employees.

  • Will Medicaid or Medicare cover the cost of the services TLC Caregivers provides?

    No.  Workers Compensation and most long-term care insurance policies cover private duty personal care services.  We are proud to have been selected by The Council on Aging of Northwest Florida as a provider assisting people to remain independent in the environment of their choice.  TLC is a contract provider with American Eldercare and Sunshine Tango delivering services to seniors across Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties.

  • How often will I get billed for services?

    Bi-weekly.  TLC is also happy to direct bill your long term care insurance company.  Please call us for details.

  • What if I need to speak with someone after regular business hours?

    We are on the job 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and no matter when you call, you are greeted by a member of our staff, dedicated to giving you the answers you need.
